Speakers and topics are carefully identified and curated to inspire, educate and update on the biggest and most impactful news and/or research influencing the genomics ecosystem and – ultimately – patients. Join the new, tiered-seating auditorium in the main stage, and leave fresh with perspectives from some of the major movers and shakers impacting the field of genomics.
Get beyond the marketing and hype, and find out what people really think about what’s happening in the genomics sector. A series of carefully curated interviews and discussions will leave you energized, inspired and brimming with ideas to take your own work and/or career forwards.
Packed full of incredible companies, technologies and activities, the Festival exhibition area operates as the main focal point of the Festival. Meet with the people tasked with introducing innovation into the genomics sector, discover new ways to move your research forwards or relax with a coffee as you browse the booths.
With both general and themed (i.e. topic-driven) speed networking sessions, this is an unbeatable way to quickly meet like-minded people with similar priorities to your own, or expand your horizons and your network by meeting the people you’d never meet at a more focused event with a narrower audience.
Speed networking sessions start on day one and take place until (and including) the morning of day two. See the agenda for more details, and check out the Festival map for locations.
Talkaoke (The ‘Flying Saucer of Chat’)
Back by popular demand, Talkaoke is run by the artist collective, The People Speak, and is a pop-up show where anyone can sit down and talk about any topic they choose. It’s a brilliant place to have a relaxed chat or full-on debate, get answers to some of the big over-riding questions you have, or continue the discussion started in any of the main theatres. Don’t miss it!
Talkaoke takes place throughout the two days of the Festival at various times, in the Tree of Life Café.

Tree of Life Café
The Festival would not be the same without it. Grab a snack, hot or cold drink or lunch at the café, and relax around the communal tables with other Festival attendees.
Situated on the mezzanine floor.
The main communication tool for the Festival, the App allows you to get the latest updates on the agenda, prompt on other activities, or to communicate and set up meetings with other Festival attendees.
All registrants are sent a link to download the App before the Festival. The App goes live a few weeks before the Festival.
Chill-Out and Work Zones
Away from the hustle and bustle of the main Festival areas, these zones are designed to help you get away from the noise and relax, catch-up with email using the Festival WiFi or make an important call.
These zones are situated outside the main Festival area, to the left of main registration/entrance to the Festival. See the map for more details.
